This custom residential kitchen features our unique "concrete wood" the perimeter countertops are made of concrete to look like wood, indistinguishable from the real thing, with much more durability and functionality than real wood. Custom iron dovetails and nail heads are embedded in the concrete to enhance the realistic look of the wood.
The island top is an acid stained two-tiered island with a flamed edge detail complete with custom iron clavos detail.

Wow, this looks unbelievable!! So realistic!
This looks to be an extremely time consuming process. How much time is spent giving the counters this finish?
Thank you! It is a bit time consuming some of the finish is in the molding process and some is in the finishing process, but we've created a system and it has been getting shorter every time. I think we have it to a science now. A usual concrete countertop here gets 2 day finishing process, the "wood" gets 3-5...
Thanks for the response!

Thank you!!
These look amazing. I found this via Pinterest, which I use more for organizing than finding content, but this is really unique. I hope to do a kitchen remodel in the next few years, and I've filed this away in a list of great ideas!
Thanks Emily! Let us know if you have any questions or need any help when you are ready. Thanks for looking!
What's the maintenance on this type of countertop and what's the cost? It's gorgeous.

I can email you pricing details and the care and use. It out performs wood and is comparable to wood pricing.
Any way I can get pricing details as well?
Hi Ashley, email me at michelle@jmlifestyles.com and will be able to discuss pricing and the details of your project. Thanks!
